We're back from the jungle. We went to Tayrona national park for two days, with the Kates. There, we slept only in hammocks, and did nothing except read and hang out on the beach all day. By night, we played card games with the Kates. I finally won back the 5000 pesos I lost at our previous card game in Manizales. It was awesome, because the Kates had put their winnings in the card box, so I literally won back the very same 5000 pesos I lost in Manizales.

Tayrona was placid, but a little boring. The water got deep really fast, and the waves were high, so you couldn't really swim much. And you couldn't rent boogie boards or snorkeling stuff or anything. On the up side, the water was crystal clear like I've never seen before. But that gets old pretty fast.

I liked sleeping in hammocks.
